COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic

Please consider your part to help us drive down the surge in COVID transmission and get vaccinated if eligible.

Kenowa Hills has scheduled a COVID vaccine clinic through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) to be held at the high school Commons next Wednesday, December 15th from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm (1st shot) and again on Thursday, January 6th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm (2nd shot).

The clinics are free and open to the community. No appointments are necessary, no insurance information will be collected, and individuals do not have to have a vaccination card to participate.

Vaccine doses will be available for children ages 5-11 and individuals 12 years of age and older. The booster shot will also be available. The Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available based on individual eligibility.

Additional things you can do to help stop the spread:

  • Wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status, whenever you are in public spaces that are frequented by many. This includes at our middle and high school where masks are highly recommended for students in 7th-12th grade. As a reminder, the MDHHS issued a mask advisory during the holidays. The advisory recommends everybody over the age of 2 wear a mask at indoor gatherings, regardless of vaccination status.

  • Avoid congregating in private indoor spaces where it is less likely masks will be worn. Birthday parties, sleepovers, and other social gatherings provide great environments and opportunities for the virus to spread.

  • Monitor your student(s) for symptoms. Student(s) should not come to school if somebody in the home has tested positive for COVID-19 or has symptoms as noted in this daily health screener.

NEW - Telehealth Services Available

Finally, we now have access to telehealth services for students, staff, and all family members through our school nurses. Our healthcare services partner, HealthBar, has nurse practitioners available to assess and provide treatment for any non-emergent medical needs. Treatment includes both non-pharmaceutical recommendations, as well as the ability to send any necessary prescriptions to your preferred pharmacy. Please contact your building's school nurse to set up a consultation. The fee for the service is a flat rate of $15, which can be paid electronically.
